Anyone who has started a career at a mid-level reputation club back in 1997 knows Sean Devine…but do they know Sean Devine?
Devine broke goal scoring records at Barnet, before allegedly falling out with John Still and being sold to Wycombe, where he allegedly fell out with Lawrie Sanchez and was sold to Exeter. Devine was part of the Exeter side that in 2005 held Manchester Utd to a 0-0 draw in the FA Cup.
After retiring Devine went on to start a spell in coaching and management in non-league and is currently the manager of Buckingham United FC.

Still won the Division 3 too Goalscorer award despite being sold to Coventry in February.
Great player, use to watch him when he played for Barnet down at their great old ground at Underhill. He had a fantastic turn of speed and obviously a great goal scorer pity he got injured when West Ham were interested in him…..
Great days now sadly gone.
I never played Championship Manager until 03/04.
But I remember Sean Devine on Premier Manager ’99 for the PS1.
On career mode, I always chose Barnet from one of the few starting clubs you can select. Or if I was on normal mode, I always tried to sign him.
He was rated at about 4 stars out of 5 equalling to top Division 1 (Championship) and decent Premier League players.
I always think of Sean Devine when I think of Prem Manager 99, and I always think of Prem Manager 99 when I think of Sean Devine.
That game was so fun (maybe because I was only 12) but I remember still playing it on the PS2 until about 2006/7 ish.
It was so addictive, and you could fly through seasons in less than an hour with games set to instant result.
