Wear we are! Back again marras. If you missed last weeks miracle, you can catch up here. We had a fantastic run last time out, we’re on a long unbeaten run in the league, much the opposite of real-life Sunderland. Having been in the relegation zone, we’re back up to 4^th.

So, let’s dive right back in with 10 games to go. The crocodile man can’t defeat us as we steal a point at Highbury thanks to Weaver.

And we make the future happen early as we shift one out.

Another tight encounter with Liverpool but this time we don’t throw it away.

Oster is having the time of his life. As is Weaver, who makes his U21 bow.

We edge the Wear-Tees derby as the run goes on. After going down 1-0 on 5 minutes we went 2-3-1-2-2 and came back.

Meanwhile, our pursuit of Andy Cole is thwarted through some out of context Champ Man:

Add to that some bad news for our goal scoring capability.

Eyre it is. The run is over as we receive yet another red card.

It isn’t the end of the world, but it is getting a bit close.

As ever, there’s a defeat to Coventry.

If it wasn’t for this man, it would be worse.

Next stop a game we should be winning. And we do thanks to a 30-yard thunderb****** from Hutchison.

Our wild side is getting the better of us. The dirtiness and character stats for these players must be something else.

Next, it’s the biggest game of the year. We pitch up in a 5-4-1 and steal a point. I’m not at all embarrassed.

That said, speaking of embarrassing:

We are left needing a win from these two games to keep it in our own hands.

1^st and the in-form Wimbledon. Brutal.

We just couldn’t sneak a shot beyond Peruzzi. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter. The rest play before us and we’ve achieved at least 7^th place.

5^th is possible with a win. But given our form…that was never going to happen.

And with that we’ve equalled Peter Reid for position, 3 points short and with exactly the same number of goals scored but conceding 4 more. We won exactly the same number of games but drew three less. And the stats?

Weaver gets his deserved award.

How many years to make that money back? Anyway, I do hope you enjoyed this save. We’re giving it a rest now as none of the players we could sign are remotely interested and I see no point in going through that kind of painful a season again, I’m not a sadist. What next?
