Welcome back to our latest venture into how competitive the best Scandinavian sides from CM9798 are against each other. It’s fair to say that since we started there has been a major divide in the league with the bottom three generally cut a drift. Has the transfer window had an impact on reversing anyone’s fortunes yet? Can it?
First up, you guessed it, it’s a cup game. Can Deano’s IFK make it beyond the semi-final against a strong Rangers side? In short, no.

90 year-old Thomas Ravelli gets MotM which kind of tells you the pressure IFK spent the game under. Bye Andersen put some gloss on a battling performance, but it wasn’t anywhere near enough as Ekstrom, Landberg etc. failed to perform.
Rangers will play Dave’s All Brann Stars or Nath’s Rosenborg. But we’ll have to wait to find out as we have the pleasant surprise of league fixtures.
We open with Matt’s AIK vs. Zak’s Malmo, Swede bros. As ever, underdogs Malmo continue to perform and Matt’s AIK continue to sink slowly.
Someone who the transfer window seems to have worked for is Ross. And this result continues to back that up. A fast start but the big Daag has nae Riis and doesn’t bag an easy hattrick.
Dave has made some decent signings for Brann. Has it helped? Not for this performance. Shocking for my own Kobenhavn side who still only bag one despite the red card for Brann.
In an absolute thriller, Nick can feel great, but still feel sick as a chip lying rock bottom of the league. 10-goals though. Wow! Miti continues to bang the goals in, but the defence is as solid as a block of sand.
Finally for this match week, Deano sees out another loss. His sides fall from early season pace setters to here has been dramatic. Especially given he hasn’t really changed his starting XI at all.
Losing Kihlberg is a big worry for Rob, he has arguably been the best performer in the division so far averaging almost a 9.
The next game week arrives, and we open with a thriller. It’s 10th vs. 9th and if Nick wins, he climbs off the bottom. Matt is resigned to defeat. Or is he. At 3-0 up it looks like Nick will finally break his status at the bottom of the table, only for Matt’s AIK to grab three goals after the hour mark to keep the status quo. Nothing comes easy, but Matt is rocking all over the world at that result.
The rise and rise of Ross’s Brondby post-transfer window is astonishing and he puts three past Nath’s strong Rosenborg side to gain another 3-points. Riis on full show this time.
It’s an awful start for Phil’s AaB even if the big red dog failed to convert from the spot.
Deano stops the rot at the expense of Dave. Dave is losing faith so much he resorts to pilfering through the contents of his Air B&B rather than manage his side, a bit of a lost weekend.
We end week two with a 9-goal thriller. The Norwegian Gods hammer the Manager Holiday Swedes. The talent at Rob’s disposal is sickening. As such, if he doesn’t win this competition, he should absolutely do a forfeit. Opinions on what it should be welcome but wearing a Sunderland shirt for a day would be an acceptable fate.
And there we have the next week closed off.
Finally for today’s episode, the other semi-final. We experienced an epic game with an epic penalty shoot-out that almost broke the save. So much so the result only shows two of the 32 taken. Brann drop Nath off at the pool for a Duus. It’s Rangers vs. Brann. How the f*** did that happen.
I’d show you the league table, but I totally forgot to grab it in the hype of this wild penalty shootout. So maybe, just maybe we’ll show you next time out.
Thanks for reading, see you next time!
