What a group we have here. Argentina and Italy meeting at this stage is good news for the neutral but bad news for Ivory Coast and Poland. Jakob (Poland) is the only returning participant in this group, we have three debutants competing here and I’m looking forward to seeing if either of the underdogs can upset the big lads. Shall we?
Well hello there. Group A was a bit of a rollercoaster yesterday, wasn’t it? We saw one former champion depart whilst the current title holder managed to pull off a small miracle. Today we will find out if football is coming home as they face a battle of Britain and some friends across a pond. Angola are also here. Three CM Cup veterans and a debutant. Let’s football!
Well here we are. All the build up (minimal), all the preparation (mixed bag), it all comes down to this. Day one of the 2022 CM Cup and of course, happy 25th anniversary to CM9798. Let’s football!
Group A includes the defending champion, Dave Mathieson. He’s Republic of Ireland and will have his work cut out against three experienced campaigners. Zak of the Blog Squad is Sweden, Tom Rostance has the group favourites Holland and former champion FPLHints (Ash) will be trying to find some balance with Nigeria. In the words of Des’ree – Oooh I get the shivers.
