Hallo, hej, hello! Welcome back. Last time out Zak and his Malmo side had managed to break into the top 2 positions. Which has been quite the shock given Malmo were probably not one of the pre-draw favourites. But they have proved reliable and consistent so far.
First up, thankfully, it’s the league.

And first stop, its Phil vs. myself. We have a bit of a crap time of it against Phil’s Ajax formation. That said we are without Todi who is on international duty loving his neighbours.
Next up it’s everyone’s favourite (for the sack race), Dave heading into battle with Deano and Gothenburg. It ends pretty much as expected. Christian says bye bye bye bye bye on 63 minutes.
Next its Great Danes vs. Turnips. Nick vs. Matt. Abbreviation vs. Abbreviation. OB vs. AIK. Nick is yet to secure a point. And so it continues. That said, a tweak in formation and putting a player valued at £3.2m (Miti) into the side has galvanised the attack. On the other side, Matt’s keeper’s continue to let the goals flow in.
On 76 minutes AIK Rahm it home for the win. The red card was costly for Nick and OB. Positive signs they can pick up here on in.
Norway’s finest are up next against Denmark’s finest. It’s Nath vs. The Big Ross Man. It’s all square for most of the first half until a rush of blood to the feldt turns the game. Nath is not one to brag.
Last but not least, it’s Rob vs. Zak. As we’ve said before, Rob’s squad is stacked with talent. But can he pick the right mix of players. It’s back and forth for 20 minutes but Malmo hold their nerve and, arguably claim a deserved victory.
Those results break the hold on the top two that was held early on by Rob and Deano with Nathan and Zak now in the lead positions.
That is it for the league, and as ever, we will treat you to some Scottish Cup football filled with Scandinavian delight. First up though its an all blog affair and a repeat of the league fixture in reverse for Matt and Nick.
Miti bags 4 goals for Nick and he is through. No red card this time and it was a convincing and deserved result. Could this be the turn around in fortunes Nick and his OB side need. Time will tell.
Completely on Brannd, Dave’s boys turn up against Scottish opposition. Three injuries however will do no help whatsoever to the league form and chances of getting more points on the board.
Ross’s Brondby make heavy work of the Queen’s from the South. Despite two red cards for the visitors, the scores ends just 3-0.
Another game, another two red cards for the opposition, this time in Nath’s favour. And its another hattrick for Rushfeldt. An easy win for the league leaders.
We face off against a lovely combination of colours in Airdrie. Each half the same score. We would concede against a Scandinavian wouldn’t we. Typical.
We do see a blog member fall on his sword. Phil’s run with the Ajax formation yields a loss against Falkirk. Losing to a team with Kevin James, Robert Dunn and Ross Tokely in a side is nothing to laugh at to be fair.
Finally, we have Zak. Who bangs 5 goals in 45 minutes then takes a rest. Glass breaks on 81 minutes but it doesn’t yield more goals for Zak. That said, another convincing display. Is a dark horse appearing in this race? Possibly.
The Scottish version of the Football League Trophy is not particularly cared about, although I’m sure Phil will talk about being able to focus on the league (or at least his assistant manager if he comes back from holiday during this blog).
See you all next time for some more Scandinavian fun!
