A Royale Mess – A Blog Squad Tale | Part Ten: Bare Nesetities | @KingOfTheRooks

Hallo, and welcome back! More time to see how our managers react and adapt to their new signings. One thing for sure, if the season so far is anything to go by, it will be goals galore.

First up it is league action. Matt’s AIK are at home to my own Kobenhavn. Games have been quite back and forth and high scoring so let’s see if that changes.

The half time introduction of the secret 6th Simpsons family member makes for a nervy second half but the Wale makes his mark and Kobenhavn come away with a victory. Our Ljung’s were bursting.

Dave faced off with Nathan, 2nd bottom vs. 2nd top. Consistently crap vs. consistently great. But Dave’s new signings (well one) make a huge difference. It’s all about the bare Nesetities.

Deano took on manager holiday Zak and his Malmo boys. Deano’s fall down the league continued despite having plenty of action. Maybe old man Ravelli is just too old?

Two late goals sealed the points for Zak. Next up Nick and his OB boys were searching for their first points. And boy did we think they were going to get them. Three October signings scored but defensive frailties let Nick down.

Finally it was Rob vs. Ross. God’s vs. Giants. In the end the legendary Kihlberg made the difference as his extraordinary run of form continues into the season.

And with that this week’s fixtures were fulfilled and the vidi printer did its job.

5 games and 30 goals. If its entertainment you are after, this is only a blog and you won’t really find it here. As ever, there was time to fit in yet another cup game. Nathan representing in the Coca-Cola cup semi-final against Dundee Utd.

What a game. It’s not often you see 3 red cards in a game, but Nathan wouldn’t be complaining, and it made for general plain sailing. Nathan awaits his opponents.

Further league fixtures are what is now in order. Bread and butter. First up Ross’s Brondby vs. Dave’s newly invigorated Brann.

It was too little too late from Brondby who made a good showing in the end. But again, largely driven by that man Neset, Brann take the points. It’s curious really, I’ve always found Neset to be poor upon signing him.

My own Kobenhavn side face off against Rob’s gods. Rob has a silly amount of talent at his disposal but it hasn’t quite put us all to bed yet. Dokken is back, who is a massive talent for his age.

In the end, the big Wale makes more marks and we come away with a surprise victory at the end of 90 minutes. Big thanks to Zarp in goal who made some heroic saves.

Next up Deano’s IFK and Matt’s AIK. AIK make Matt say F.U.C.K. It could only be worse if he was Nick.

Vital 3-points for Deano to arrest the slide. Nick’s pointless OB are away to managerless Malmo.

Bloody hell! 10-man OB take the game to Malmo and score 5 before half time. A dull second half plays out and Nick hangs on for his first 3-points. Matt is gutted.

The final fixture sees Nathan play Phil. Rosenborg vs. AaB. I said earlier its rare to see 3 red cards in a game. But how about in consecutive games, Nathan’s opponents get 3 red cards?!? WTF.

In the end it made for easy pickings for Nath. The vidi printer review was ready as ever.

Goals, goals, goals. Hey goals, goals, goals. What a division. The impact on the table is, somehow, I sneak into 2nd place.

Nick closes the gap to Matt down to 2 points. Given the number of games left to play nobody is out of it yet, but it’s looking fairly good for some. The goals and assists by some players are insane so next time out we might take a look at some of those stats.

Thanks for sticking with us. And see you next time!
