A Belgian Story – The Road to World Cup 2006: Part 12 | @verbist_philip

SATURDAY! The best day of the week as ever begins with a trip to Beveren to see what Philip is up to as season 4 draws to a close…

Hallo allemaal!

Saturday again! Time to find out how the lads at the Freethiel will finish Season 4. Despite a very disappointing Cup exit against second division squad Diest, we overcame a small dip in our form and we are still in 2nd position with 12 matches remaining. Will we finish 3rd again? Let’s hope not, I have had too many of those already. We’ll see!

Happy Saturday! Here’s Philip with the Beveren Boys.

Hallo allomaal!

Happy Saturday! Welcome back to my hometown Beveren. The mood in town is good. Everybody was expecting a more difficult season after the loss of several key players. So far however the team is doing surprisingly well and after 12 matches we find ourselves in a great, yet somehow unexpected, 2nd position.

The weekend is here! That means Philip is back in the blogseat to give us the latest from Beveren where a new season is about to get underway.

Hallo allemaal!

Happy 2021! I am wishing you all the very best during the new year and a lot of joy and goals when you play cm9798.

I am curious what 2021 will bring for my hometown club Beveren (where we are using only Belgian regens) and Belgium’s journey towards WC 2006. Last year we finished season 3, our most successful season so far. We won the Belgian Cup, reached the quarter final of the UEFA Cup and finished again 3rd in the league.

There are some holes in the line-up that we need to fill after the loss of Jansta, Rubinelson, De Vreese and Peersman. And oh yes, Silvagni retired. Van der Borght (Borkelmans) will pair up with Appels (Grun) as our new centre back duo. Van Den Eede goes back into the line-up as our number 9 and we still have Dutch man Torken.

Happy Saturday! It’s back to Belgium where Philip is waiting for us with the latest from Beveren…

Hallo allemaal!

It’s Saturday again! Today we go through the finale of season 3. We are having a good season and we are still competing on all levels. We are in the semi finals of the Belgian Cup, we reached the quarter finals of the UEFA Cup and we are in 3rd position after 21 games.

Happy Saturday! It’s already time for season 3 in Beveren and that means more shortlist tricks with Philip…

Hallo allemaal!

It’s weekend again! It seems only yesterday when I started writing the blog, but we are already in the off-season of our 2nd year. When I look back to last season, I am actually quite happy with what we have achieved. We finished 3rd place again and made it to the semi finals of the Belgian Cup. And on top of that we reached Round 4 of the UEFA Cup. Can we repeat or even do better this year?

First things first, let’s have a look what the Belgian regen market has to offer. Besides the sorted players database, you all know now I am using a little trick to my advantage: players on your short list don’t retire. So all the anchor points I have set at the end of season 1 are still there.

It’s Saturday! Whilst the night remains alright for fighting, the morning is very much for reading Philip’s Belgian adventure blog. Can Beveren finish season 2 in style?

Hallo allemaal!

Time flies! We are already at the final part of season 2. We started off like a rocket winning 9 straight matches, but after that our engine cooled down considerably and we find ourselves currently in 4th position. With only 4 points ahead of KV Mechelen, we will have to perform at our best if we want to travel around Europe again next season.

It’s time for a new season over in Belgium as Philip leads Beveren into European competition. There’s also a handy hint to pass on…

Hallo allemaal!

Welcome back to my Belgian story. Last week we finished our first season with my hometown club Beveren. After an excellent season we finished 3rd.

Apart from a back-up goalkeeper I am glad the core of the team is still available. Can we repeat our performance of last year?

Today is CM9798’s 23rd birthday! Our party is being started (and ended) by Philip, who is back in Belgium for the end of season one. How far can Beveren go?

Hallo allemaal!

Welcome back to my Belgian story! My hometown club Beveren is having a very good first season. We reached the quarter finals in the Belgian Cup and after 24 games we are in 3rd position.

Can we hold this position during the last 10 games of the season and qualify for the UEFA cup?

Before we pick up the action my 2 Czech players get a call-up. Especially Jansta is having a strong season. He currently has the highest average rating of the team. As said in my rules of engagement, I can only use them for the length of their contracts. But during the next 2 seasons they could be important when trying to develop my regens.
