It’s been a fiercely contested lockdown challenge. We started in Germany. We made Dortmund very English. We fled to Serie B. We demanded UEFA Cup success. We wanted you to put the world under pressure with the Republic of Ireland. We tore the rule book up and took you back to 95/96 to bring football home. Some of you did it all. Some of you were less successful. But we all had a great time, so we’re all winners. But in another, more accurate way, there is only one winner and I’ll reveal the results…right now.

Welcome! We’ve been through a lot together. We started in Germany, made Dortmund quite English before moving to Italy. That was fun, so after getting promoted from Serie B I demanded UEFA Cup success from you. Then we came home to oversee an Irish World Cup campaign. How do you follow that? Deep breath. Don’t hate me. I think it’s bad news for the English game.

Lockdown Challenge 2: Task 1

Greetings! The world is a terrible place at the moment and it feels like every day brings more bad news from across the globe. We can’t directly effect that or make it better but as many parts of the world are stuck indoors, all I can offer you is the solace of Championship Manager.

After the relative popularity of the first set of lockdown challenges at the end of 2020, I’m going to post a new challenge every Friday. With the help of Zak, we’ll keep the scores and the league table. All you have to do is submit a few screenshots. Where are we off for Task 1?
