Good morning! Welcome back to the Retirement Academy, where season 3 has started in the typical “mixed bag” fashion. We’re 10th, which let me tell you I would snap your hand off for after surviving via the dreaded mega playoff league last season. We’ve got the regen of Ian Rush doing his best to keep our heads above water but with our self-set rules of 5 old & 5 young in every matchday squad, it’s always going to be difficult.

The Retirement Academy – Part 7: Notorious

Welcome back to my latest favourite waste of time. The Retirement Academy are two seasons old, infants in the world of club football but somehow we’re a top Division Club in Holland. A ropey promotion was followed by a ropey survival, a very convoluted playoff system getting the assist on both occasions. But now, as season 3 dawns, it is time to try and establish ourselves. Although I have no doubt it will fall flat on it’s face, my recruitment strategy might help.

The CM9798 Retirement Academy – Part 1: Getting to know you

Here we go again then. The Retirement Home took us to dark places but it all worked out in the end. How do you top that? It’s easily the most popular save I’ve ever done and clearly, we had to pull out all the stops to keep you, the loyal readers, interested.

Simple, really. We take the second most popular idea and merge them together. The CM9798 Academy meets the CM9798 Retirement Home. Ike Mashley is back in business, he’s got a new club and he wants results.
