It might be bottoms up for Nathan but things are very much at the top for Rangers. They’re chasing 100 points and 100 goals, can they do it?
Hello all. Welcome back to the Tuesday portal into the upside down world of CM. In the last update we got knocked out of the cups and lost in the league so it wasn’t a vintage update by our standards. We look to get back on track with this update.
Perfect start here. The first half is pretty poor until Robbiati fires home a rebounded shot. We score straight from kick off in the second half with Negri bursting through and slotting past the keeper. Laudrup adds our 3rd to confirm all 3 points.
Cowdenbeath are brushed aside. Cavaco opens the scoring before Negri has defenders tripping over themselves as he waltzes through for his two goals. Bowmaker then arrows his back pass right over his own keeper. Amoruso then slips allowing Thompson a free run at goal and he converts that. Bjorklund of people pops up to hit home a 5th late on.
This is a slow burner until 10 minutes before half time when Negri releases Bakayoko who opens the scoring. 2 minutes later he rattles the crossbar and Cavaco fires home the rebound. In the second half Hazem Emam comes to life and grabs one back for Berwick. Cavaco then goes in again before teeing up Negri for our 4th. Emam again though breaks through and grabs a second but we stem the flow after that. Emam unlucky not to be man of the match.
Another commanding performance. Our number 10 scores in the 10th minute and doubles his and our tally just before half time. Gazza shows he has a bit of magic left with a thunderous 3rd in the second half.
Europe starts again and we grab a late late 90th minute away goal which could be vital. Both teams cancel each other out. HoBbach latches onto Micoud’s through ball and makes it 1-0. We get a late corner and get a massive reward when Sorenson thunders a header home.
Bakayoko shows Ayr the difference between a good team and a quality team. Ayr have plenty of chances but poor finishing costs them. Bakayoko has two chances and buries them both brilliantly.
That’s it. We’ve now won every league title. A European Trophy would top this off nicely.
I swap the team around as we have the CWC QF 2nd leg coming up. Van Vossen gets the 3 points for us after a good through ball from Johansson.
Oh my God! have you ever seen anything like this! Negri gets us off to the perfect start with a great solo effort to make it 1-0. Then BMG go to town on us, ripping us apart with 3 goals before half time. Marco Negri will not lie down though. He bangs 2 in 5 minutes and Ibrox is going nuts! In the 84th minute he’s in again but this time he slides it across for Bakayoko who strokes into the empty net. The fans are delirious! What a night at Ibrox!!
What an abysmal performance from us here. Not one player turns up and all the hard work in the last round is for nothing. Brann take an early lead but Negri levels just before half time. In the second half completely we collapse and Brann could have got 5 or 6. Really poor from us.
Another big night at Ibrox but we get knocked out in the 88th minute when Alperud stabs home a corner. Bakayoko did everything in his power to get us through but in the end it’s not enough. In truth we were so poor in the first leg we don’t deserve to go through.
That’s the season over and done with. We’ve only won one trophy but it’s the one we wanted and it confirms our status back at the top of Scottish Football! Let’s see how it’s gone in the rest of the leagues.
We will have the Old Firm Derby again as Celtic make it back to the Premier League. Dundee win the playoff to come up as well. Hearts win the FA Cup beating Hamilton and Celtic win the League Cup against Livingston.
Man Utd are back on top in England pipping Newcastle to the title. Bristol Rovers have a great season as well.
Arsenal & Liverpool are back in the Prem along with Sunderland who win the playoffs. Man Utd do the double winning the FA Cup against Coventry but they lose out to Liverpool in the League Cup final.
In Serie B Sampdoria storm to the title and promotion to Serie A
In Serie A Juventus win the title comfortably. Both Milan teams are some way off.
Juventus win the Champions league after over coming Boro 2-1 in the Semi Finals. In the UEFA Cup Deportivo win an all Spanish affair against Betis. In the CWC our vanquishers Brann lose on penalties to Feyenoord.
So that’s another season polished off and we’ve finally been crowned kings of Scotland. We will have a crack at the Champions League next season and then see how the land lies after that. Until then, as always, Bottom’s Up!
