Good morning! It’s been a fun 6 weeks but all good things come to an end. Last week we set you the below sixth and final challenge and this week we’ll see what your efforts have done to the final table.

35 of you made it right to the end, though it might end up being 36 but we’ve had some issues getting screenshots from Jakob Nielsen, despite his best efforts.
Anyway the key to winning this task, not to go all Lord Sugar on the Apprentice, was selling the players from Man Utd. You got 300 for winning the league and cup which is admittedly more fun but it is the equivalent of selling 2 players. The managers who came storming through did incredibly well on the sales front and neither won the Euros with Wales. We did have two Euro’s winners, so well done to Arkadiusz and David De Poorter for doing what I genuinely thought nobody would. It was however only enough for third and fourth respectively.
The final results:
So Blog Squad member King Of The Rooks comes storming through to win. How did he do it?
Here’s what he started with – nothing too unusual here.
Off they go, all 21 players sold
FA Cup and Premier League secured.
Err Darren Byfield topping the scorers chart I did not expect. Dick Last in goal, obviously.
But other than qualifying, no massive success for Wales.
All in all, the sales clearly won it for Andrew but here’s the kicker- Slimedad, sold 23 players and qualified for the Euros but ran out of time to play the finals so we’ll never know. He had a group including Italy and France so he would have done well to earn any extra points.
That’s it though, my thanks to Zak and Nick for doing numbers and pictures respectively and most importantly to all of you for taking part and making this what it has been.
We’ll almost certainly do another later in the year but do keep checking the site for more blog posts and tomfoolery. See you around.
