Geordie Score – Part 10 : Back In The Groove |@Matt_C_Wills

Morning. We’re back after a festive break with a check in on Tino and Co.

If you need a quick reminder, Newcastle are in the midst of a South American revolution with Julio Geordio leading the line, which in 3 seasons has not amounted to a whole lot to be honest.

Anyway, always time for that to change

Maybe. Chili has the chance to get us off to a flying start, but the only thing flying is the ball from the penalty spot over the stands…

I’m hoping some of the new players brought in over the summer can help change things up.

Chili makes amends against Spurs, who get their underwear in a bunch.

Man Utd are not Spurs. Scholes is still a goal machine, but we manage a 2-2 draw to keep our unbeaten run going…

Derby day arrives and Julio is the toast of the toon in our midweek encounter with Sunderland. Cheer up Peter Reid!

We’re Cruzing at Elland Road but Leeds have other ideas.

Tino! Matt Jansen bringing his Carlisle form to another blog reality. Carranza is on the transfer list but in this form, I think I might hold onto him.

I let Ruben Sosa go last season, so of course he would come back to almost haunt me. He’s one of my favourite players on the game, but just wasn’t doing it in this save for some reason.

Back into Europe and a fairly tough draw with Rayo Vallecano. We were flying after 17 minutes. Ibagaza came in for £250k and might just be a left wing bargain in the making.

Julio decides to spice up his life by scoring at both ends but C-Lo seals it with a double.

You can only wonder how well this season will go when Graham Fenton scores a double for 17th placed Chelsea against you.

Ali G’s stunt double saves us in the Uefa Cup – Booyakasha

Our reward will be Braga in da house next time around.

The thing with relaxing the Foreign player rules means other teams can take advantage too..

I don’t want to brag, but this was kind of a big deal.

I don’t want to Braga, but this was also a big deal.

Chili atones for his earlier penalty gaff by scoring from the spot the second time around

Granted, this has been a bit of a whistle stop revisit to Tyneside, but its late on a Friday night and I promised Dave I would have a blog ready for the weekend.

Time to look at the table

We’re doing really well, unbeaten – but if we want to be champions, need to turn those draws into wins. Maybe it’s time to put someone else on pens, hopefully Chili will understand.
