Hello and welcome back to season 23 – We’ve been to Morton, Coventry, Motherwell, Crystal Palace, Man Utd, back to Palace then last season ended up at Arsenal. We had a fantastic start to life in North London until February where we couldn’t buy a win. A rebuild is on the cards.

August/September

It’s been an ok start to the season. Beating Leeds and Ipswich is a good sign as they’ve been good teams in recent seasons. Losing 4-1 at home to WBA was abysmal! We’ve switched formation to this.

October

We go unbeaten this month. A great win against Man Utd in the league. We progress in the UEFA Cup and the League Cup, beating Man City in the 3rd round.

November

November is our best month for a long time. The only blip is getting beaten in the UEFA Cup at home by Rangers 3-1. It will be tough to overturn that.

Game of the season so far is this madness against Villa. It was 6-2 after a breathless first 45 minutes!

December

Not a single win in December which is crap to be honest. We crash out of the League Cup against Division 1 Luton and Rangers knock us out of the UEFA Cup. We are somehow clinging on to 2nd place in the league but Liverpool are starting to pull clear at the top.

January

4 games and 4 wins in January get us firmly back on track. 2 in the FA Cup to see us through to the 5th round and 2 in the league which sees close the gap on Liverpool.

February

Super inconsistent month. My old team Palace knock us out of the FA Cup in a match that could have gone either way. We get revenge on WBA who beat us 4-1 at home. Still only a point behind Liverpool. We did go top briefly but then lost the very next game. Typical!

March

3 out of 4 wins with our only loss coming at Man Utd. We are level on points with Liverpool at the top of the table with Ipswich 4 points behind with a game in hand. Ipswich are also in the Champions League semi final!

April

That loss against Swansea really annoyed me. Such a stupid result at this time of season. We are currently 2 points behind Liverpool and we play them in the penultimate game of the season.

May

We take the lead at Anfield but Liverpool turn it around in the 2nd half and that confirms them as champions. We beat Chelsea with our 2nd team on the final day of the season to round off the campaign.

So not to be this season but it’s an improvement on the disappointing collapse last season. Next season I really want a trophy so let’s see if we can make that happen. Hope you can be there too!
