Welcome back to the Half and Half Premier League! Confused? So are we. We’re approaching the mid-point in this madness, but there are clear and obvious winners and losers despite the mixed nature of the new league.
This week we start November with a keen eye elsewhere. As a massive advertisement for the league, the UEFA Cup sees Arseham take on the Crystal Dons. A draw sees the Dons through on aggregate.
Marcus Gayle is loving life in the half and half world. The Arseham team is stupid good. Not sure how they aren’t winning this. They bounce back in the league by sending themselves top.
If the Readford Oxes survive, it will be like winning a trophy…or finishing 4th! Arseham’s time at the top is numbered as A City United also claim a 4-1 win and have a game in hand.
A few days later and they match each others results again. After all the chaos, it’s largely the same players fighting for the title under different names.
What a result for the Rovering Bristolians! Poor Steve Bull puts four shots off-target and get’s a 4!
The headlines read “Bull-shit”. The last results of November fly in. No pools panels results here.
A City United expectedly reclaim top spot. 10 reds and Kinkladze is a difficult side to face. I’d say it’s a four-horse race between Arseham and A City United:
Meanwhile at the bottom, four teams seem to be down already, Lutford and Westwall.
And now for the awards, drum roll please…
Robbie Fowler…another 5 game ban.
Paul Scholes 3 game ban.
And poor Bosnich can lose another 20 ability points. And with that, honestly I’m not sure the deduction in funds / gaining of funds is having much impact on the title race, but we will see, rules is rules and the money must flow.
Hopefully we’ll see you back next week for December!
