McAnenay, whose name is a lot harder to pronounce than it looks, looks decent. He had some big clubs sniffing around who surprisingly don’t make a counter bid and we had a free run at him.

My new centre-half has 20 Influence and comes straight in as captain, despit ebing only 81% fit. Wallace 26.0 steals the show though.

Liverpool are sniffing around Harper, I don’t want to lose him yet so I max his value to put them off making a bid.

Semi Final time! The sabotage of Michael Brown didn’t come off so they ar at full strength. Our top scorer Dickov is out so Martin comes in. We go behind early doors to Uwe Rosler. Martin is crap so he comes off early. Captain fantastic get what turns out to be the winner but gets injured late on. Hope its not too long. Kevin James is coming back from injury so we just about manage to hang on.

Thistle 4 – 0 Scarborough 

Second Leg at Maine Road.

Dickov is back. A draw will take us to Wembley. But City are top of Division 1 and will still be favourites.

Uwe Rosler gives them the lead in the 49th minute and one second. He celebrates with his teammates and take them applause from teh crowd. The ball is picked out of the of our net. Booted up the field. The Man City players trot back. We kick off and Kevin James – who plays centre half – goes up front and manages to score in the 49th minute and 59 seconds. It’s amazing what can happen in in 58 seconds. 

We hang on and we’re through to the final!

Where we will play Blackpool? Oh I thought for a second we were playing Balckppol then. But not that lucky, it’s Liverpool. 

Crazy result. But the result makes sense upon further inspection.

Bastard. We lose McKenzie on a big-clubber. Thats too cheap for a player of his ability. 

There are a few players I want to get rid of. Alex Martin, Billy Mac and a couple of other fringe players who currently have high values. The cash will come in handy later on.

Doncaster 1 – 4 Thistle

Thistle 3 – 1 Shrewsbury 

Shout out to Paul Dickov. Not just for his penalty winner at the Posh.

That’s his 50th goal of the season.

Could do with another 1 or 2 in our next game. It’s Cup Final time. But it’s one hell of a task.

But before then it’s transfer deadline day.

Rod Wallace is suspended for the Cup Final so I don’t mind selling him now for good money.

Billy Mac is also out of the door. 6.97 average in Div 3 for a good team. This is not his save. Again, good money. 

Alex Martin is our 4th choice striker. I’ve just been bringing him on to increase his value. Man City have had their pants pulled down for £4.3m. 

£14m in the bank. 

The only guy worth bringing in is Docherty. Decent stats and position. Will see how he does. 

He has to play. 

It’s a strong looking Liverpool team. But you never know.

Docherty’s debut doesn’t go very well at all. We try our best but the gulf in class in too much for us in the end.

We lost the battle but not the war.

We’re top of the league and promotion is a formality. I won’t bore you with the rest of the season.
