Nowhere I’d Radebe – Part 8: The Secret Diary of Adimole | @Matt_C_Wills

Welcome back to another part of the saga that is my journey to glory with my Leeds team made up from players across the African continent. So far, we’ve been fair to middling. We can score, but we also can’t defend.

Here’s how we left things last week, reaching for the top, but can we keep it up?

My exploits have obviously not gone unnoticed in Bourges. They can Bourgers off though.

Also in Oxford….

Checking in on some of my charges on loan, we won’t ever be short on goals. Nii is knocking them in for Pompey

And the Roger Milla regen is doing the business at Rochdale

Besides all that, lets get down to business. Blackburn can’t knock us down.

Spurs can though. Another loss, another red card

The Quicker and Adrian Mole rescues a point for us against Liverpool. 3 is the magic number these days….

Spurs come back again to kick us in the nuts and out of the League Cup

We almost find success at Old Trafford. Roy Keane loses his head early doors and Peter puts us finally into the league, only for Artur to claw United back. So close.

Another late goal, this time from Bakayoko sees us home against Crystal Palace. Adrian Mole is probably too intellectual to be taking penalties.

Newcastle still has a South American flavour, but it’s the sweet taste of Yorkshire Puddings that win out on the Toon.

The new year means a new cup competition, and the third round is over within 30 minutes in all honesty.

The less Portuguese, more Aussie (or Ozzy) Wolves are a sterner proposition. Young Victor to the rescue.

Next up are Boro and we score four without a reply for a rare clean sheet. The Quicker is coming back from an injury lay off with no apparent side effects.

It’s the Quicker to the rescue again away to Villa where Dwight threatens to derail our recent good form. It’s now Agali up top with The Quicker, forming a double act to rival the greatest of all time – Allan Clarke and Mick Jones (Steady on shouts Ross Bell).

They may not be that great just yet, but they give Arsenal shirt shrift in the FA Cup. To be fair, Arsenal after season 1 aren’t much of a challenge.

Kasey Keller is as on form as ever but The Quicker and Barnsey see their way past them.

The supporting attackers of Barnsey, Baka and Sellimi can also weigh in with the goals

I am finally starting to feel happy and confident with these guys. The Quicker and Victor have taken the mantle from Yeboah and Masinga and made their own cult hero status. Their goals are taking us further in the FA Cup.

Where we’ll face Zak’s favourites Plymouth

Let’s not get too comfortable, we’re only ever a few dodgy results away from a collapse

I don’t think it will come yet though, Arsenal can’t get revenge for their FA Cup exit

Let’s finish off this weeks story with a close win over Man City, and why not

So, this leaves us in second place in the league, but still adrift of Man Utd at the top, who else?

We’re in a good place, but the last two seasons have seen us collapse in the final third. Please come back next week to see if we can finally taste some semblance of glory….
