World According to Warnock Episode 31 | An unexpected U-Turn | @CornishZak

Hello fellow glory hunters!

So… before we dive into the latest adventures with Niall’s Crewe we should address this weeks latest real life Neil Warnock development…

“You’d have to be an idiot to come here. And I am”.

Yes. Neil Warnock is back in management, and back in Yorkshire with Huddersfield. The Terriers found themselves four point points from safety after a 3-0 defeat to Stoke (15th February 2023) and Warnock couldn’t resist another spell on a Championship touchline.

World According to Warnock Episode 30 | Divinely Uninspired | @CornishZak

Hello Warnock fans! We’re up to Season 10! Wow, that’s gone fast.

Last time out our Crewe Alexandra side could not escape the Division 1 relegation zone, despite being top of the form table at season-end. Here’s a check-in on the game stats as we chase Neil’s total of 1608 games; The 2005-06 season was not a good season for matches either as our average has gone down. This season will give us a chance in four competitions to get that back up!

World According to Warnock Episode 29 | The Mornflake Crew(e) | @CornishZak

Hello, and welcome back to season 9!

Last time out I made the daft decision to swich from a Premier League title challenge to a Division 1 relegation challenge! The driver? An attempt to replicate Neil Warnocks achievement with Rotherham in 2016 – where an eleven game unbeaten run would save a team destined for relegation, thus performing a ”Houdini’ escape act!

The league table makes for hard reading. Twelve points adrift and 18 games to go. I’m sure we can do it, though!

World According to Warnock Episode 26 | Calling George Ndah | @CornishZak

Hello, welcome back to Season 8 of our World According to Warnock blog. I promised a bumper episode of twenty league games and cup competations – so let’s get to it!

I left Niall’s Argyle side four points adrift of Stoke at the end of the last episode, and our hero of Season 7 George Ndah without a goal yet this season.

World According to Warnock | Episode 25 | Strictly Business | @CornishZak

Welcome back to life in the South West under the leadership of Niall Warnock. We’re in Season 8!

“I’ve decided to have a rest. A bit of rest. Do a bit of shopping as you do. I’ll take the dogs walking. I’ve been on my bike. An electric bike by the way.” Neil Warnock was happy to have an enforced break.

It’s been a few months since Dave put us all on hold for the World Cup. [What a Final BTW!]. If you can’t remember what this World According to Warnock serial feature is all about you are welcome to start from the beginning;

World According to Warnock Episode 24 | Season 7 Finale | @CornishZak

Happy Monday…if there is such a thing. It’s a bitter sweet week here on cm9798.co.uk as we enjoy the final episodes from many of our bloggers but fear not – they’ll be back after the break. Good morning Zak!

Hello Champers! Welcome back to Home Park as Niall Warnock is on the precipice of promotion to Division 1, has an FA Quarter Final replay to navigate and has the Windscreen Shield cup final to look forward to.

[Side note. This will be the last Warnock-related episode for a while, as Dave enforces a mid-season break on his aging blog squad. (Don’t worry, we’ll be back!) I hope you enjoy it!]

“Matches don’t come any bigger than FA Cup Quarter Finals”. Neil Warnock.

After holding Premier League side Leicester to a 1-1 draw at Home Park, the lads travel to Filbert Street for the FA Cup Quarter Final replay. Whilst I have an eye on a route to the final (only Newcastle and Sheffield Weds remain from the Premier League) Leicester score a penalty after Razor Wilding chops down winger Mark Platts. Dario Simic makes no mistake. It goes from bad to worse as Cameroonian keeper Mfede sees red – this time for taking Simic down as he burst through 1-on-1. I have no choice but to go keeperless. Simic sends left back Reinelt the wrong way and we’re 2-0 down and a long way from Wembley. The lads can’t respond, and we go crashing out.

We were three minutes from glory at Home Park before a late equalizer forced the replay. This hurts.

World According to Warnock Episode 23 | A New Razor | @CornishZak

A new week brings the post weekend blues for many. But here with your Monday green is Zak and his Plymouth side…though he may have loaned a few out.

Hello Champers!

The lads are in control in Division 2 (ten points clear after 26 games) and currently still in every cup competition. Can David Hopkin and George Ndah inspire the regens of George Weah, Teddy Sheringham, and Brian McClair… let’s see!

This is how the squad looks. I may rue the decision to send so many out on loan, though I can always recall them if needed.

What better way to start the week? It’s the Zak Attack…

Welcome back to Home Park, Champers. It’s a bumper episode this week as we play through to 24 league games and multiple cup competitions.

You join us as Niall Warnock’s Plymouth Argyle side are leading the way in Division Two. The team – spearheaded by George Ndah and George Weah regen Jonathan Ngabe – have won nine of the first ten league games. Let the carnage continue!

The Windscreen Shield is first up, and a group fixture against Charlton. A third minute Ndah goal sets the tempo as we hit four first half goals. A 5-1 win and qualification to the next round. Could this be a winnable competition?
