The CM9798 Challenge League: Part 5

Hello, bonjour, hola…welcome to challenge 5! Or maybe that should be croeso i her 5, unless Google translate has lied to me. More on that later.

It’s fair to say Betis was fun for a lot of you, despite the financial bastardry we forced upon you. Some very impressive scores were posted and the league update later on will show just how well some of you did. What about this week then?

The CM9798 Challenge League: Part 4

Hello! Welcome to Challenge Four of a probable six. We tried to make Challenge 3 as fun as possible after a pretty grim Challenge 2 and I don’t think we disappointed, with some huge scores coming in. Real Betis have some great players and being able to add to that only added to the excitement. We’ll round up the scores later but first, let’s get to Challenge 4 and ruin some weekends.

The CM9798 Challenge League: Part 3

Good morning and welcome to Challenge 3! Well done to you if you came through challenge 2 with a positive score, it turned out to be unintentionally difficult by the bottom clubs in Serie A being disastrously bad. The CM9798 Challenge League: Part 2

Greetings and welcome back to the CM9798 Challenge League. A massive thank you to everyone who got involved in part 1, we’ll have a look at the league table later on. I should point out, it’s never too late to join in, the deadlines we set are mainly so we have a cut off to get the league tables drawn up (and again, massive thanks to Nick and Zak for their graphics and score keeping capabilities!). So, what now?

The CM9798 Challenge League: Part 1

Hello there! I hope you’ve been enjoying the content from Deano, Tom and Andrew so far this year. Every now and again we have a meeting at cm9798.co.uk towers and we think of new things to do. Sometimes, we just re-hash old ones. Zak had the great idea to lift those January blues of bringing back a challenge, with points available for achieving various milestones we set out.

We did this during Lockdown, when admittedly there was quite literally nothing else to do. Obviously (and thankfully) we aren’t in that place anymore, but from posting the idea of Twitter (X) and Facebook, it seems enough people are interested in giving this a go. You might have to bear with us whilst we get the timings right. Some of the feedback was that a week isn’t enough time to do a full season, which is understandable. I appreciate to some of you, it might be more than enough time, so like I say, we’ll try and find the sweet spot.
