The Blog Squad FC – Part 9 | @RossBell1984

Happy hump day! Here’s Ross to usher in a new season with the Blog Squad…

Welcome back to the highlight of your week, Lets not mess about Division 1 here we are. Let’s do it!

First game of the new season is away at Sheffield United. We bought Don Hutchinson in as a bit of squad depth in the middle of the park, he doesn’t feature however as the N&N’s (partnership nickname pending) do the damage with a 3-0 victory.

Away again as an unchanged team handle their business with a 1 nil away win against Nottingham Forest.

Unless something is happening at our home ground there is no excuse for 3 away games on the trott, it matters not to our band of heroes as we put 3 past Ipswich N&N’s do the damage again.

Finally a home game, and we celebrate in style with a 4-1 battering of Portsmouth. You may notice a new debutant making his first appearance for ua off the bench.

5th game of the season and the 5th win on the board, I thought the step up would be an issue. Apparently not, 2-0 win and looking dangerous.

Stockport for some reason prove to be our biggest test of the season as we struggled to a 1-0 win, Illie with the winner.

We come back from a 1-0 deficit at the break to make it 7 out of 7 as Mulryne makes a rare appearance and bags the winner.

Derby County may have had the EFL on strings in recent years but we gave them a taste of things to come in 21 years time as 4 separate scorers do the damage here.

Thats 9 outta 9 as Barnsley are the latest to taste our wrath, Zak with a rare goal and another solid defensive performance.

Crewe of all teams deny us 10 wins out of 10, Leeds United legend Paul Pettinger turns in a spectacular performance to hold us to 1.

We will end this week’s update with that. We’ve taken to Div 1 like a duck to water. Join us next week to see if we can continue to swim or sink like a stone.
