Welcome back to the 2000-01 season finale, Warno-brothers! It’s a two-horse race for the Division 2 title between our Nottingham Forest side and Stoke City. We’ve also got our first Wembley date on the horizon. Can new-boy Freddy Leon spearhead an end-of-season run? Wish me luck….

Shortly after Freddy Leon signs, another International, Salif Diao, joins on a free after being released by Monaco. I also sign Giles Grimandi from Arsenal as left back cover [though he injures himself almost immediately]. It means I’ll change-up my formation to accommodate. It’s a risk – and certainly harsh on the magnificent George Ndah who will now be pushed out wide.

Welcome back Warno-brothers! Reminder, we are top of Division 2 after 24 games with Nottingham Forest battling for promotion. The aim is to emulate Neil Warnock’s success at Huddersfield in 1995. Let’s go!

“When you’re my age, you do get labelled … you’re ‘dinosaurs’ and all that, ‘long-ball merchants’. I look at some of the teams in our league and I’ve never been as long as them in a million years but because they’re young, they don’t get criticised.” Warnock on his favored Champ Man tactics.

It’s boxing day – the lads are nursing hangovers, but fortunately don’t need to travel. We signed David Hopkin at the end of the last episode; Hopkin wastes no time embedding himself into the AMC role, and combines with George Ndah for a goal and assist apiece. The 3-1 win over fellow promotion hopefuls Preston is a perfect Christmas present.

“If I saw him [Clough] on the other side of the road, I would look the other way, but when that whistle goes on a Saturday, I’d die for him,” a quote to Warnock by former Forest player Willie Carlin. “That’s what I want from my lads,” replies Warnock.

Welcome back Warno-brothers. Our Nottingham Forest side have really hit form in Division 2 as Niall Warnock finds himself chasing automatic promotion already.

Here’s a reminder of our formation – for those who like to see/replicate those. It comes courtesy of @CM9798Nikolai on twitter.

“Brian was my idol. From day one, I loved Brian.” Neil Warnock on Brian Clough when asked about rival club Nottingham Forest.

Welcome back, Warno-brothers! Last time out young Niall Warnock won promotion with Kidderminster to Division 1 – with two tasks ticked off, it means it’s time to pack our bags for the next challenge!

Here’s the updated taskmaster spreadsheet;

Welcome back Warno-brothers! Our Kidderminster side have crawled into second place, and have 10 games to catch leaders Watford and haul in the six points needed. Alternatively, we have a five point cushion to hold off the chasing pack!

You may remember I was tinkering with tactics last time out… Freddy Leon is currently up front on his own, supported by Robbie Savage on the right. It’s unconventional, but has so far been effective!

Welcome back Warno-brothers-in-arms. We’re 20 games into our Division 2 journey, and occupy sixth place in a tight playoff run. Join us as we play up to game week 36, and approach the ‘business end’ of the season.

“I love Lionel Richie, but Motown-wise I love Junior Walker and The Allstars, the Four Tops, The Isley Brothers … that type of era. They were all of my time really,” Warnock on his favorite recording artists.

Tactical reminder, after injuries and loss of form we settled on this monstrosity..

Happy Monday, Warno-brothers. Last time out, our Kidderminster side led by youngers Craig Dudley and the reborn Arnor Gudjohsen toiled in Division 2. We’re aiming for back-to-back promotions. With form patchy, it’s time for a formation change…

“It might have looked negative, but they’d have passed through us and killed us,” Neil Warnock on a tactical switch at ‘Boro.

Good day, it’s the back to work blues for many of us today so here’s Zak to try and cheer us up…

Welcome back, Warno-brothers! Last time out our newly-promoted Kidderminster side won the old Division Three. Now, it’s the 1999-2000 season and we take on the old Division Two [aka League One]!

“I remember the day when they sold Brian Deane and Jan Aage Fjortoft. It was like when President Kennedy got shot,” Neil Warnock on Sheffield United’s transfer policy.

We are underway and have a season under our belts. Reminder of the challenge – to emulate the managerial success and journeyman career of Neil Warnock. Here’s a spreadsheet I put together to track progress… [@kingoftherooks loves a good spreadsheet….]

“My specialty was ingrowing toenails,” trained chiropodist Neil Warnock on his alternate career path.

Welcome back, Colin fans! What would have happened if Warnock had stuck to feet? Well, no World According to Warnock blog!

We’ve reached the finale to our first season with Kidderminster Harriers. We have 13 games and 3 points to eat into. Should be doable, right?

Here’s a squad update as I’ve been tinkering behind the scenes. Four goalkeepers have been sold and I’ve recruited Chis Day as the permanent successor to Tony Warner. He cost a fifth of the price (£200k) from Watford and should see us through to the end of the season. I also pick up younger Aaron Hughes from Arsenal for £350k (not the Newcastle one). He was great on my ‘free for all’ save – and versatile. Finally I unnecessarily spend £30k on Des Walker. He’s on £4.1k per week wages, more than double the next highest earners Mark Robins and Dave Watson.

The season might be winding down in real life but we’ve got another full week here on cm9798.co.uk, starting with Zak in Kidderminster…

“It’s hard to replicate the final whistle when you’ve won a game, there’s nothing quite like that in normal life, and you have to realise you’re not going to get that buzz again in that situation.” Neil Warnock, reminding us what it means win a game!

Welcome back to Division 3, Colin fans!

We are midway through the 98/99 Season in our Neil Warnock fanzine. Our Kidderminster side are currently in second after 20 games (an automatic promotion spot). Here’s how the squad looks as we enter November. I may have gone goalkeeper mad after injury to Tony Warner.. Also Martin Lauchlan was a £50k steal from Partick. Randomly, with value set to £1million and ‘available’ Man Utd and Wolves are sniffing…
