CM9798 – Playable Danish League | @KingOfTheRooks

Well, hello there! Something for the weekend? … or in this case for your midweek excitment!

It’s been in the making, but finally, having made playable versions of the Norwegian and Swedish leagues in CM9798, I’ve finally got around to doing the same for the Danish leagues.

The former had given me food for thought in terms of how to give the league more longevity. In the Norwegian and Swedish versions, managers and players from the ‘host’ league that they were traded in for invaded the teams and eventually the Norwegian and Swedish players would disappear over time. So, how to fix this:

We’ve made all the Danish clubs, managers and players ‘Scottish’ and all the Scottish clubs, managers and players ‘Danish’. As you can see from above, I’ve changed the national colours for the right effect. It will also mean; any grey players will appear with the correct naming conventions:

We’ve gone with the Scottish structure as it creates tightly knit pots of competitive teams, and there’s no way to adopt a regional structure in CM9798 anyway. Starting positions were determined by the data already held in the database.

Brøndby and FC København the best rated teams. Viborg and Ikast miss out on top level football due to the reduction from 12 to 10 teams in our reshuffled Superliga.

At this level, as per the Scottish league normally, the reputations and abilities even out into a real competitive “anyone can win” environment.

12 clubs start managerless in the game due to the level of research, however, there are enough Danish (*ahem* Scottish as they are now) managers to fill the void. So who is ready to battle it out with:

Morten Bisgaard

Jesper Grønkjær

Kim Vilfort

…and how could we forget…

Miklos Molnar

If you want to, you can download the required files here, paste them into your CM9798 folder, replacing the existing files (just make sure to back them up first!) and off you go on a Danish adventure. Happy Championship Managering to you all!
