Bottoms Up – Part 2: On The Charge | @FMCM_FC

Don’t be fooled – today is Tuesday. Bank Holiday Monday is a distant memory so here’s Matt with part two of turning the leagues upside down

Morning all and welcome back to the upside down world of football. A quick reminder of what has happened. We have moved all top divisions to the bottom divisions so the Premier League teams are now in Division 3 and vice versa. Same goes for all the leagues in between, So Division 1 becomes Division 2. I’ve done this throughout Europe as well. I’ve taken control of Rangers with the aim of getting them back into the Scottish Premier League and Europe. We’ve not had the greatest of starts but it’s early days. We will also keep an eye on England and Italy as they are the other leagues I have loaded in this save.

Sick of Dundee Utd already. Don’t get me wrong I’m happy to be out of this cup and we used our 2nd string but Dundee and Dykstra can do one. Bowman gives Dundee a deserved lead but we slowly wear them down and McCoist pulls us level. In the last minute of extra time we have a penalty saved. Dykstra then saves 3 more in the shootout to make it an easy win in the end for Dundee.

A good win here against Hearts. Van Vossen gives us the lead with a strike from no where in the 42nd minute. The previous 41 minutes had been fairly dire. Hearts grab an equaliser from a corner before half time with Jim Hamilton having a free header. In the second half Van Vossen turns home Cavaco’s fantastic through ball. Van Vossen is denied a hattrick when his stinging shot is parried but Laudrup is there to pick up the pieces and slot into the empty net.

We have somehow ended up in the UEFA Cup at the 2nd round stage. Winning 2-0 at home is pretty much as good as it gets. No away goals is a huge plus for us. Negri gets his first in the 1st half when Van Vossen sends him one on one and he chips the keeper. His 2nd comes in the 2nd half when Laudrup chips a ball forward and Negri smashes it into the roof of the net.

Chester with a fantastic win here.

Another good win in the league. Negri and Gazza are outstanding. You know when there is a big scramble before eventually you score, we’ve all been there, well this time there are 10 blocks and parries before Negri finally pokes the ball home at the back post. He quickly follows that up by playing a cross in to the box for Gazza to lash in a half volley. In the second half Van Vossen sets up Gazza’s second before Negri heads home Bjorklund’s blocked header. Porrini slips late on to allow Jess a consolation goal.

A crazy 27th minute kicks this game off. Kilmarnock actually start really well and look the most likely to score first. They give away a freekick in the 27th minute which Laudrup chips into the box and Bjorklund powers a header past Marshall. Ferguson then gets sent off for injuring Reilly. In the second half Van Vossen provides two assists for Negri to score 2 well taken goals.

Great away performance in Europe. We restrict Gothenburg to limited chances and then in the second half Gazza plays a lovely through ball for Negri who of course scores as he always does in those situations. On to the next round to face Rosenborg.

A big win overshadowed by Richard Wright’s stupidity. 3 mins in Laudrup flicks on a goal kick which Negri gets to first and curls past Main. 2 minutes later Gazza scores with a thunderbastard from 30 yards. 2 minutes later Stokoe breezes through and slots it under Wright. Negri grabs his second after another assist from Van Vossen. In the second half Van Vossen scores 2 in 9 minutes to make it 5-1. In the 89th minute, the game is dead and buried and has been for some time, St Johnstone break forward and Wright decides to scythe down Dasovic in the box. Literally no need at all. He gets sent off and Dasovic scores the resulting pen so it finishes 5-2.

We should have scored more here. Something I didn’t consider when doing this was that the lower leagues play when the internationals are on so for this game we had to shuffle the deck because of International duty. Van Vossen is lethal in the first half scoring with his only 2 touches of the half. We get sloppy late on and allow Motherwell a goal back with 10 minutes to go but we see the game out safely.

A 4-0 win with all goals in the 1st half. 2 minutes in Negri scores after another assist from Van Vossen. Laudrup then drops a ball over the top which Negri volleys home first time. Laudrup then slips Cavaco in who scores from a tight corner. Laudrup then sets up up Van Vossen on the edge of the 6 yard box who hits a first time shot into the top corner. Second half is all about containment.

2 away goals isn’t great but scoring 4 helps. Ally McCoist is sensational. He grabs two in the first half after 10 mins before setting up Van Vossen for his goal. Jacobsen grabs an away goal just before half time. McCoist completes his hattrick in the 70th minute and we look good for 4-1 until the 90th minute when Berg slips through and grabs a vital 2nd goal for Rosenborg.

Chester are no joke here.

A first half hattrick for Van Vossen ends this one early. He opens the scoring before laying off Laudrup to make it 2-0 inside 10 minutes. Van Vossen is in again after 23 minutes before he finds the net for his hattrick after a big scramble. Not content with his hattrick he grabs another on the hour mark to make it a 5-0 drubbing.

Another game and another 4 goal striker, this time it’s youngster Darren Fitzgerald. He scores 2 in 5 minutes after 15 minutes before completing his hattrick on the stroke of halftime. Dundee come out and score from the kickoff but Fitzy gets his 4th in the next minute. Dolan makes it 4-2 on the hour mark but we restore the 3 goal lead with a late corner headed home by Porrini. Take that Dundee!

That’s it for this update. Let’s check out the other leagues.

We are back at the top thankfully. 40 goals in 13 games is a bit of a joke.

Ross County opening up a lead in the Prem.

No surprises here. Bolton on for a shock playoff spot maybe?

Tom Youngs and Bjorn Heidenstrom going toe to toe for title.

It’s tight in Serie A.

R9 looking for a return to the top. Bari the surprise package here.

Barnet in with a shout still.

You can’t help but feel for Albion Rovers here really.

So that’s the round up. Join me next time to see if we can progress in Europe and extend our lead in Division 3. Until then Bottom’s Up everyone!

  1. Great! Nice editing idea!
I have a question about editing. I can’t manage to create things such as ë, à, æ, ø et cetera. How do I that?
