Bottoms Up – Part 22: The End of the World | @FMCM_FC

For one last time, let’s go back to Nathan’s upside down world. With the world almost back to the right way up, can Rangers finish in style?

Hello and welcome, for the final time, to the Upside Down world. The aim in the beginning was simply to get Rangers from Division 3 back to the top of Scottish football. We have achieved that and defended the crown. We’ve had a little run in Europe but now all the focus is on the final half of the season. The League Cup is in the bag and now we want to add the League title and FA Cup. So let’s see if we can do that.

We start with an easy win away at Livingston. Cavaco with the pick of the goals with a lovely long range effort that dipped into the top corner. We follow this up with a 4-0 win against Dumbarton and a tough 2-0 win against Ayr.

We go 2 up in this one but Hearts peg it back to 2-2 before half time. Luckily Johansson fires home in the second half to seal the win. We then travel to Dundee and pick up a 2-0 win with both goals coming from defenders. Bakayoko rescues all 3 points against Clydebank with a goal 3 minutes from time. Albion Rovers are swept aside with ease 4-0.

Hibs come very close to ending our FA Cup run in the very first game. They take a 2-0 lead but Bakayoko gets 1 back before Miller grabs a late equaliser to force a replay. Back in the league we beat Forfar 2-0.

We are out at the first hurdle in the FA Cup. Hibs were the better team in both games. Just the league to go for then to finish off this journey. We get back to winning ways with a 3-1 win over Livingston, they must be sick of playing this season!

A good win at home in the Old Firm Derby. Jardel gives Celtic the lead from the spot. We then grab 2 goals in 2 minutes thanks to Bakayoko and Cavaco. Bakayoko grabs a 2nd to seal all 3 points. We follow this up with an entertaining 4-2 win over Ayr. Bakayoko with a hattrick in that one. Another 4-2 win follows away at Hearts. Away at Dumbarton and another 3 points thanks to a 2-0 win.

We are finally beaten in the league. Until this point we had won every game but a David Johnson goal on the stroke of half time condemns us to defeat. This is followed up with a poor draw at home to Dundee.

We end with another League trophy in the bank. Another dominant campaign to add to our League Cup win. Let’s check out the history of each of the top divisions.

Alloa won the first Scottish Premiership before Clydebank got promoted and dominated for 2 years. Of course we took over as Kings of Scotland soon after that.

In England it was Hartlepool who won the first one followed by Preston then Boro. Man Utd won a huge battle with Newcastle only for Newcastle to get revenge the following season. This season Arsenal have just won the title for the first time.

In Italy for some reason the Competition History has gone haywire so we haven’t got the that but it was all about Juventus and the Milan’s straight from the first season.

So that’s it for this crazy Upside Down world. Thank you so much for joining me on this adventure and i look forward to you all joining me for the next one. I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and a Happy New Year. For one last time… Bottom’s Up!!!
