Hello and welcome back to the 30 for 30 challenge. We had 4 terrific seasons with Greenock Morton, winning promotion to the Premier League and finishing 4th in our first season. We had a spin in the UEFA Cup before moving South to Coventry. It’s been a battle to say the least. We got relegated then promoted, survived only just then ended last season relegated again. So we go for Promotion again at the first time of asking.

August

So we’ve had a busy summer. Rosler is 34 but he’s had 4 trophy laden seasons with Man City. Lopez, Sevchenko and Dida have no right being in Division 1 so they are coups. Rogelio is Luis Enrique Jr and Martin Howard is Alan Shearer Jr. Actually excited for the first time with this team.

Crazy start to the season. Ignore the Norwich result, we went down to 9 men and couldn’t cope. Out of the League Cup in the 1st round is disappointing.

Glenn Teather (Pallister Jr) won young player of the year in the Prem last season and has been injured until this game. Clearly we’ve missed him. Howard (Shearer Jr) has scored in every game so far.

September

After getting battered in 4 games we get sacked. Not surprising really. Where to next?

October

It’s back to Scotland with Motherwell. They have slipped into Division 2 so the mission is to get them back into the Premier League.

We lose the first game but to be honest it was all about getting a team on the pitch. Reinforcements are being looked at.

November

We get our first point but it’s looking bleak. We are 12 points from safety already. Lots of new players have arrived so we need a formation to settle on now.

December

Right I’ve got some players and settled with 2-3-1-2-2 and results have improved. We lead 3 times against Kilmarnock before a red card ruined it for us.

Easily our top performance with our 2 best new signings grabbing the goals. Mike Wise has been brilliant since signing.

January

We only lose one game in Jan but we are still way off safety.

A great win here against Cowdenbeath. Wise and Pirie again on the scoresheet with Hatton chipping in. One was a beauty into the top corner!

February

An unbeaten month but we need to start winning desperately. The next two games are against the 2 teams above us.

Malpas scored with a towering header from a corner in the 87th minute. Could be a huge a goal for us.

March/April

So not only do we get relegated but we lose Wise, Malpas & Kenny Dick to the big club release clause.
