Greetings! It’s the International break in real life and we’re always on point here at cm9798.co.uk. On point and somewhat in the past. Anyway, you might remember last year I asked if we could get Northern Ireland to World Cup 98 from the basically hopeless position they start in. You can read that here. Spoiler: We did. The World Cup was fun, I start to care about this team and thought, why not try and take them to Euro 2000 for next time there’s a gap in the schedule?

Well, that day is today.

Good morning! I’ve got a confession to make. We don’t have a Tuesday writer at the moment. We’ve had a series of guests doing great things, I did a tactics blog with Nikolai but as Liam continues to take a well earned break from the A-Z game, I’ve had to dig deep to do something different. Inspired by the Lockdown challenge, I’ve decided to take the challenge of trying to take Northern Ireland to the World Cup from this position:

Hello! For those of you who follow my Twitter ramblings, you’ll know a good friend of mine built a program to help find regens. I’ve had a go with it and it’s really quite good though it has some shortcomings. As a disclaimer, neither of us are in a position to offer an awful lot of help right now so I have put my understandings below and if you want to play around and report back, that would be great. Version 1 was released in September and then version 2 in October.

Happy Father’s Day! It’s actually my first Father’s day and so to celebrate, I’m dusting off an old favourite and bringing you a list article. Not only that, it’s relevant!
