The Blog Squad FC – Part 8 | @RossBell1984

Happy hump day! Here to get you over it is Ross with the end of season two

Welcome along to the highlight of your Wednesday, The Blog Squad look to wrap up this Division 2 title.

Lets first start with some cup action.

Our FA Cup journey starts with a trip to Newcastle who look mental on paper but somehow we win 1-0 Looking forward to another big tie in round 4.

Ah well you can’t have everything. Norwich are swept aside with relative ease.

We continue our tour of the UK’s glamour spots with a tie against Middlesbrough. The Journey goes on…

I forgot to get a screenshot but we lost to Liverpool in the next round so that’s that.

We do however bag our second bit of silverware with victory in the W/Scr Shield final. Cool.

Back to the important matter at hand and thats wrapping up that league title.

Despite another red card for Andrew The Rock Chapman, Martin Keown bags a 10 and we beat Orient with relative ease.

Watford come to town and are no match for our new look team, 2-0 easy. Yorks form has fallen off a cliff so that win confirms us as Champions.

An obviously still hung over team got battered by Oldham, With Gary Kelly getting MOTM he obviously read my previous comments from two weeks ago.

Thats more like it lads lets round the season off in style. New recruit Gustavo Poyet gets in on the goal scoring action

Or of course we can end the season with a whimper….. Oh well, two bits of silverware in one season is a huge success. On to the bright lights of Division 1!

The only disappointing thing being that we are down to just 4 Bloggers left in the squad. Those being Zak Brockman, Rob Tait, Nick Rowe and Andrew forever suspended Chapman. Lets catch up on the other lads and see how their careers are going.

Let’s start with the most recent departure Dave. 99 Games 73 Goals for us, incredible. He’s yet to get off the mark for Blackburn but I’m sure it won’t take long.

Philip was the first to be poached from us and tbh it hasn’t gone great so far for him at Feyenoord. That said he is a full Belgian international and is already off the mar for his country so fair play.

Deano left for the equally glamorous surroundings of Wimbledon. Those first 3 games for the Dons look to have been rough but he has turned it around since and seems to have established himself as a regular.

Unfortunately the same cannot be said for our final two bloggers. Firstly Matt who joined Martin O’Neills band of misfits at Filbert street. Just 5 appearances in the second season. Good ratings however.

Finally we have Nath how joined the biggest club in Liverpool but its gone less than swimmingly for him.

Rest assured I’m tracking them in game and every month I make offers to bring them back. With that in mind there’s one final player I missed off here, Me.

I left for Sunderland during season 1 but with relegation Sunderland have had to make sales and I pounced to buy myself back at a knock down price.

Anyway that’s all for this week. Join me next Wednesday when we embark on our division one adventure.
