Hello! It’s been a while but we are back for the 30 season challenge. The aim of course is to complete the max number of seasons on CM9798. We started with Morton and had 4 wonderful seasons before moving on to Coventry which was a roller-coaster ride of emotions. Back in Scotland with Motherwell we’ve won Division 3 and Division 2 back to back. So let’s have a crack at Division 1.
August

Brutal start with 2 losses and a draw to start life in Division 1. We also drop out of the Coca Cola Cup.

This win in the League Challenge Cup proved to be the only bright spark. Scott Booth Jr and Kevin Phillips Jr with the goals.
September

Well. What a difference a month makes. We go unbeaten in the league which shoots us from bottom of the league to the top. Losing to East Stirling in the Challenge Cup was the only low point.

An emotional return to Cappielow Park where it all began for me on this journey. New boys Clarke & Druce with the goals to see us to the win. Flash Gordon’s on show.
October

A month of two halves. We start off sluggish with losses against Forfar & Airdrie. We get back on track with 2 wins to finish the month.

A crazy win here over Stenhousemuir. It starts with an own goal then Rennie & Hatton make it 3-0. McNiven grabs one back before half time but Prenderville makes it 5-1 with 2 quickfire goals. McAree adds 2 of his own to put the pressure on but Castro keeps us ahead.
November

Just the 1 win in November. We are really struggling for consistency this season.
December

3 much needed wins in December helps us back up to 2nd. The loss to Clydebank leaves us trailing them by 9 points.

This comfortable 3-0 win away from home was the highlight. Hatton in particular was in fine form.
January

Three 4-0 wins including a win in the Scottish FA Cup. The bad news is we lose Castro (Chilavert Jr) and Neil Foster (Scott Booth Jr) who have been our best players this season. We got a record sale for both. £1.3 for Foster and £1.7 for Castro.
February

Not a bad replacement for Castro.

Only 1 win in the league in Feb which is really disappointing. We do make it through to the FA Cup Quarter Final though which is great. We won’t catch Clydebank in first place so the 2nd place playoff spot is now the aim.
March

We start the month with a brilliant 4-1 win away at runaway leaders Clydebank but we then lose 4 of our next 5 including falling out of the FA Cup. A win on the last day sees us finish 4th for the season.

So that’s another season in the bag. Another season in Division 1 awaits us with Motherwell next season. Hopefully you can join me then for Season 12 of 30.
