We start this week with some cup action and as last week I’ll just bring you the human on human action…….
We start with Dean’s Man U ‘91 taking on Philip’s Arsenal ‘94 in the 1st round of the league challenge cup. 2-0 at ht quickly becomes 3 and it’s a comfortable victory for Dean. My Parma team takes on Rob’s Zaragoza boys. It finishes 2-2 at FT and then 2-2 at the end of extra time and I take a 4-3 victory on pens.

We’re back for season two. We’ve been seeded in the Champions League and the board have made a delightful investment with all of our hard-fought war chest. At £733 a seat it better be worth it.
It’s the last day of February and it’s barely a coincidence but it’s the last update of season one here for Andrew. Can he secure the title?

It’s been a little while since I’ve done anything remotely normal in CM9798. I had an idea a long time ago (idea no. 19 of 34 I have on the boil) when re-reading about the late 70’s and Keegan’s export to the Bundesliga and then the recent wave of UK based footballers exploring German football again. So, The Keegan-Burger; what is it?
We will look to bring a young talented Englishman over to Hamburg and build a team of largely German talent around this player who will be our star and leading light.
Philip is out of action for a few weeks – get well soon my friend. We’ll be back with Lierse to see the finale later in the year but we have a treat of an Andrew experiment in his absence. What’s the best tactic in CM9798? An impossible question you may think but Andrew has been editing…
